Michael undertakes work with the Awarding Organisation PAA\VQ-SET where he acts in a capacity as an External Quality Assurer and consultant.
He has also helped PAA\VQ-SET with the development of two Certificates in Laboratory Technical Skills, which sits within the UK apprenticeship framework.
PAA\VQ-SET is an independent specialist Awarding Organisation recognised and regulated by UK Qualification Regulators; the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), the Welsh Government, CCEA and the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).
PAA\VQ-SET work closely with the UK business community, colleges and training providers to ensure that the qualification provision is responsive, flexible, rigorous and quality assured. Their professional and experienced team provide ongoing support to their network of Centres. They work with more than 200 Centres based throughout the UK and internationally.
In the current climate where regulators expect to see that individuals are competent, these nationally recognised qualifications provide an ideal opportunity to reward employees with a work-based qualification that aligns with business activities. Many of the qualifications sit within the UK apprenticeship framework and may attract government funding.
